The CBN Trade Portal, also known as Trade Monitoring System, is a portal that hosts trade forms (Forms NXP, A, and NCX). And helps in exchanging data between stakeholders in the trade chain.
To get started, you can visit the Trade Monitoring System at www.tradesystem.gov.ng.
It’s also important to know that every registered exporter can use the system. To access the Form E-FORM NXP on the Trade Monitoring System, you will need a valid TIN from FIRS/Joint Tax Board.
If you are having issues with your TIN, you can visit any FIRS/Joint tax board office to update your TIN with an email address and a valid phone number.
To complete an e-Form NXP, there are certain documents you will need before you can complete an e-form NXP; you need a proforma invoice that you have issued to your trading partner for the specific consignment.
It’s also important to note that you can sign up on the TRMS from anywhere, and you can save at every stage of your Trade Monitoring System application for a later date pending when you’re ready to finish the process.
The validity of e-Form NXP is valid for 180 days, after which your processing bank can extend the validity for another 90 days.
You can also amend my e-Form NXP as long as the shipment has not occurred.
To monitor your transactions on the TRMS, notifications will be sent via email at every stage of the transaction.
