What is the definition of Middle Market (MM)?

A middle-market firm is a large firm, but smaller than some of the global giants. The typical revenue range to be classified as the middle market is $50 million to $1 billion. They are usually firms that are classified just below the market leaders (i.e. larger boutiques are below the bulge-bracket in terms of revenue, and hence would be classed as middle-market).
