United Capital Plc appoints Leke Ogunlewe as Non-Executive Director

The United Capital Plc has declared openly the nomination of Mr Leke Ogunlewe and the resignation of Mr Adim Jibunoh from the Board of the corporation.

This was revealed via a report documented with the Exchange and approved by the corporation’s secretary, Leo Okafor.

Mr Leke Ogunlewe was appointed as Non-Executive Director, sequel to the resignation of Mr. Adim Jibunoh from the job, after working for the Board of the corporation for 9 years, since 2013.

Who is Mr. Leke Ogunlewe?

Mr. Leke Ogunlewe is an innovator in the Banking sector for advisory on Consolidations and Gains, as well as financing of crude oil exports for international oil traders.

 

He has over 37 years of knowledge in financial jobs, initiatives extending Financial Advisory Services, Capital Markets, Project Finance, Energy Banking, Retail/Commercial Banking, etc.

 

Before his being appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Company, Mr. Ogunlewe functioned at Standard Chartered Bank Group where he relinquished in 2020 as Head of Global Banking/Corporate and Institutional Banking, Nigeria, with the supervision of West Africa.

 

Furthermore, he was formerly the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director/Head, Corporate Finance, West Africa at Standard Chartered Capital and Advisory Nigeria Limited.

 

Mr. Ogunlewe is also an alumnus of the University of Lagos where he acquired a Master’s degree in Business Administration and the University of Ibadan where he acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
