Transcorp Hotels Plc Hits N1 Trillion in Market Capitalisation

Transcorp Hotels Plc has joined SWOOT as it reaches N1 trillion in market capitalisation on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

According to some reports, Transcorp Hotels Plc offered investors earlier this month a bigger return on investment in capital gains compared with other equities listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited last year.

Transcorp started trading in 2023 at N6.25 per unit and closed the year at N70.18 per share. This figure represents a 1,027% share appreciation in capital gains in 2023.

At the close of trading on Monday, the firm's market capitalisation rose to N1.024 trillion, with the company stock settling at N100 per unit.

Transcorp's Q3 report for last year shows that the hospitality brand showed resilience in terms of inflation to sustain growth as revenue settled at N29.9 billion, representing 31.76% from the previous year, which finished at N22.7 billion. Profit for Transcorp rose by 62% to N5.5 billion from N3.4 billion.
