Timberwolves Star player Karl-Anthony Towns tests positive for Covid-19

The 2021 NBA season just started after a long break due to Covid-19, and now many players are testing positive for Covid-19. As a result, many fear that the NBA may suspend the league if more players continue to test positive for Covid-19.

 

Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves’ star forward basketball player revealed via Instagram that he tested positive for coronavirus.  Karl is no stranger to Covid-19, his mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns died of Covid-19 at age 59, she died on April 13 in the year 2020 and the news that he is now positive for covid-19 means that he has to be extra careful to beat the virus.

 

Also, towns revealed that at least 6 of his family members have died after contracting the deadly virus (Covid-19). 

 

"Prior to tonight's game, I received yet another awful call that I tested positive for COVID," Towns said in a statement shared on social media. "I will immediately isolate and follow every protocol. I pray every day that this nightmare of a virus will subside and I beg everyone to continue to take it seriously by taking all the necessary precautions. ...

"It breaks my heart that my family, and particularly my father and sister continue to suffer from the anxiety that comes along with this diagnosis as we know all too well what the end result could be. To my niece and nephew ... I promise you I will not end up in a box next to grandma and I will beat this." Towns wrote to his fans and the world about his Covid-19 diagnosis.
