Setting a new record, Dream Exchange and Cadiz Capital
Holding LLC, in a partnership have created the first-ever minority stock
exchange. The purpose of the Dream Exchange is to become a new stock exchange
dedicated to small business capital formation and diversity which will allow
investors empower innovators and emerging businesses in a new way.
Cadiz Capital Holding LLC is a minority-owned private
equity firm that has partnered with Dream Exchange to the majority owner in the
new exchange. In the history of the US stock exchange of 230 years, this will
be the first majority Black-owned stock exchange. The private equity firm is
focused on North American companies that have enterprise values of between $250
million to $1 billion and are able to pursue larger transactions and
partnerships with “like-minded” firms.
The partnership of both firms is solidified by decades
of expertise. They have also managed to forge a greater alternative for
middle-market companies, as well as investors seeking to have liquidity and
diversity.
The goal of Dream Exchange is to create a space that
allows the general investing public to invest in small and emerging businesses
early enough. That way, there will be more opportunities for wealth creation in
the US through the American capital markets, and in more liquid and diverse
platforms.
Dream Exchange also intends to extend its access to
the capital market system to ensure that more individuals and businesses have
better access to the system. The new exchange also plans to list new companies
with witty innovations and ideas at their early stage for interested investors
to see and invest in them at their early stages.
The Dream Exchange has also put in efforts to educate
Members of the Congress to see the need for venture securities and seek ways to
best protect the capital market system, as well as create more opportunities
and room for small businesses to thrive in the post-pandemic environment.
“The Dream Exchange is a real solution to the
long-term systemic issues plaguing our country by providing a marketplace where
money flows to any and all organizations that help us to survive better as a society,”
Dream stock Exchange founder and CEO Joe Cecala said.
