Stanley Chikwendu Joins Transcorp Plc as Group Company Secretary

The Board of Directors of  Transcorp Plc has announced the recent appointment of Mr. Stanley Chikwendu as the Transcorp Group Company Secretary.

This announcement was stated in the company filing sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

In the filing signed and sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited,  the President/Group CEO, Owen Omogiafo said Mr. Stanley Chikwendu will serve as the Group Company Secretary and all its subsidiaries.

The statement partly reads,

• Transnational Corporation Plc (“the Company”) hereby notifies the Nigerian Exchange Limited (“the Exchange”) of the appointment of Mr. Stanley Chikwendu as the Group Company Secretary of Transnational Corporation Plc and its subsidiaries, with effect from September 5, 2023.

A Brief Look at Stanley Chikwendu Profile

Stanley Chikwendu is known for the role he played in both legal and corporate firms - he is also known for his involvement in different industries such as real estate, financial services, and aviation.

Before joining Transcorp Group, Stanley was the Company Secretary and Head of legal at Heirs Life Assurance Limited, a member of the Heirs Holdings Group.

Also, he served as Company Secretary and Head of Legal and Corporate Services at Tangerine General Insurance Limited and Law Union & Rock Insurance Plc.

He is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, the University of Leicester, England, and the Lagos Business School.

He is also a Chartered Secretary, and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, and International Bar Association.
