X, formerly known as Twitter, has begun paying content producers and social media influencers in Nigeria through its ad revenue-sharing program.
However, payments to content creators began for X users in the United States early last month, X said that this development will be extended worldwide by the end of July.
Verified users in Nigeria and other countries who have reached the threshold of impressions on their work are now being compensated.
Some of the content producers who got the payment turned to Twitter to express their gratitude to the platform's owner, Elon Musk.
Musk, they claim, has given them an incentive to stay on the app and continue generating entertaining content.
The reward implies that many people who had previously refused to pay for the blue badge but who consistently produce content that receives positive feedback would now be tempted to pay for the memberships, which cost N3,560 per month.

How to Be Eligible for Payment
Twitter stated that the content creator needs to have subscribed to Twitter Blue or be a verified organization to be eligible for the incentive.
Furthermore, such a creator must have “at least 5 million impressions on your posts in each of the last 3 months,” as well as pass human inspection for Creator Monetization Standards.
Additionally, the user must have at least 500 followers. Twitter also stated that creators will be required to register a Stripe account since the company already uses Stripe for payouts and is now rolling out to its initial set of artists who have already signed up for creator subscriptions.
How to Join
Eligible users will be able to enrol and set up payments using the app's Monetization feature. This may be accessed on the iOS and Android side menus, as well as the web overflow menu.
When you select "Join and set up payouts," you will be sent to our payment processor, Stripe, where you may create an account to get your part.
You will be able to send funds to your external bank account using this Stripe account. Once you opt-in, you will get recurring rewards as long as you have made more than $50 USD.
X said that it has the right to change or cancel the Programme at any moment for commercial, financial, or legal reasons.
