Kevin Durant is an American professional basketball player and a millionaire with a net worth of over $170 million. Asides being popular on the court and off the court, Durant is one of the highest-paid basketball players globally, earning a salary of $29 million.
Early Life and education
Durant was born to Wanda and Wayne Durant on September 29, 1988. He attended the National Christian Academy in Fort Washington, for his high school education. And moved on to Texas for a year (2006 -2007) for a college degree, until he got selected for the NBA draft in 2007. Durant had picked interest in basketball at an early age. By age 13, he traveled the country for basketball tournaments with his father Wayne. From his childhood and teenage days, Durant always wanted to play for his favorite team the Toronto Raptors.
At the National Christian Academy, Durant played two years in the basketball team before leaving for Oak Hill Academy where he played for a year.

Durant’s professional basketball career began as early as 2007, the NBA draft. He was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics as one of the top picks. By the end of his first professional basketball season, Durant was named Rookie of the Year with an average of 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. In 2008, his team relocated to Oklahoma City and changed their name to Thunder. In the 2008-09 season, Durant improved his scoring average by 5 points and he became a nominee for the Most Improved Player Award.
During the 2009-10 season, Durant was selected to play in his first NBA All-Star Game. He became the youngest NBA champion with a scoring average of 30.1 points per game.
