According to Forbes, Jay-Z's net worth has now reached a staggering $2.5 billion, solidifying his position as the richest rapper alive. This real-time update also places him as the 1,203rd wealthiest person in the world. French business magnate Bernard Arnault is currently ranked first on the Forbes list with a reported valuation of $216.1 billion.

Jay-Z first became Hip Hop's first billionaire in 2019, thanks to his diverse portfolio that includes investments in liquor, art, real estate, and companies like Uber. His net worth has almost doubled since last year's reported $1.4 billion.

Forbes estimated Jay-Z's net worth to be $1 billion in 2020 and $1.4 billion in 2022, the same year the magazine named him the third highest-paid entertainer after selling his stakes in Tidal and Armand de Brignac.

Jay-Z's latest increase in net worth is mainly due to his recent deal with Bacardi over the D'ussé cognac brand. He and the beverage company previously owned D'ussé in a 50-50 split, but with the new agreement, Bacardi acquired a majority stake in Jay's stake while still leaving the Grammy winner with a significant ownership role.

Jay-Z defended his business ventures in a Twitter Spaces conversation in August 2022, stating that he and others had worked hard to achieve their success and were not going to stop.
