Nigerian Breweries Plc. posted revenue of 337 billion naira in the 2020 financial year. The company’s board of directors released the official financial statement for the year, ending 31 December 2020. The official report was released on 19 February, 2021. According to the report, the brewery company declared a profit tax of N7.52 billion and a turnover of N337.01 billion in revenue. The result represented a 4.3% increase compared to the N323 billion recorded in the same period a year ago.
In the statement, the company further revealed that its Board of Directors will recommend the company’s shareholders at its forthcoming Annual General Meeting the declaration of N7.52 billion dividends, at 50k per share, which represents a 100% dividend payout ratio.
Earlier in 2020, the company paid an interim dividend of N1.999 billion, at N0.25k a share. The final proposed dividend of N5.52 billion at N0.69k a share will be payable to shareholders by 23rd April 2021.
As of 4th April 2020, Nigerian Breweries Plc.’s stock price was N22.07. As of 4th April 2021, the stock price was N49.60 a share.
