Hyundai Announces $21 Billion U.S. Manufacturing Investment

Hyundai has pledged a $21 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing, including a $5.8 billion steel plant in Louisiana. The announcement was made at the White House by Hyundai executives alongside President Donald Trump and Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry.

This move aligns with efforts to boost domestic manufacturing, following similar investments by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSM) and SoftBank. Hyundai’s CEO previously stated that expanding U.S. operations is key to navigating potential tariffs.
