How to Receive Financial Aid, Mentoring, and Support as a Nigerian Undergraduate

A perfect way to get Financial Aid, Mentoring, and support as a Nigerian undergraduate is through the FATE Scholar Programme (FSP), which is also affiliated with the FATE Giving program. 


The goal of this program is to encourage students who are creative and entrepreneurial to seek admission to pursue an undergraduate degree in any STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) course at any accredited public tertiary institution in Nigeria during the academic year 2023-2024. 


The program will provide support and make it possible for these students to pursue their education. The FSP will tend to provide the following for exceptional, high-performing, and aspiring businesspeople that it supports in their efforts to become entrepreneurs:


  • Financial aid

  • Mentoring and

  • Internship

The selected candidates will get financial assistance for a minimum of four years to cover the cost of their education at any Nigerian public tertiary institution that has been fully approved.


In order for them to receive the advantages of the program, they will be asked to submit documentation that they have been accepted through the screening process.

Eligibility Requirements for the Fate Scholar Programme


The following requirements need to be met in order for applicants to be considered for the Fate Scholar Programme (FSP):


  • The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen.

  • The applicant must be an outstanding pupil

  • At the time of application, the applicant must not be older than 21 years old.

Application Procedure for the Fate Scholar Programme

The following is the application process that is used for the FATE Scholar Program:


  • In the first round, prospective participants submit their applications for the program online at https://soar.fatefoundation.org/auth/signup.

  • In the second stage, successful applicants are narrowed down to a shortlist and contacted.

  • Candidates that were successful in the first round of the application procedure advance to the third step.

  • Here contact is made with the successful candidates in Stage 4 of the process.

  • Candidates who have been successful up to this point will move on to the sixth and final round of the application process.

  • Contact is made with successful candidates in August, and the results are published at this stage.
