HOW TO CHECK YOUR WAEC RESULTS ONLINE AND VIA TEXT MESSAGES IN 2023

The West African Examination Council, the continent's premier examining body, has scheduled its 2023 session. The continent's most popular examination will commence from April 3rd through May 15th, 2023.

There are already a few changes to how to check your WAEC results in 2023; shown below is how to check your results now.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR WAEC RESULT ONLINE

Get ready: The first step is to have everything you will need to check your results ready, which is listed below.

1. You will need your 10-digit WAEC examination number, which is the combination of your center number and your candidate number. The center number is 7 digits and your candidate number is 3 digits e.g. (1445443001)

2. Your result checker e-pin and serial number: This year, the council has already issued smart identity cards to candidates for the examination, which bear the Result Checker e-pin and serial number on them. 

Others can also purchase scratch cards for the Result Checker e-pin in case their WAEC results predate 2023 by following the instructions below.

• Log on to the WAEC Request Management System Portal  here 
• Transaction Reference Number would be automatically generated for you
• On Select a Request Type choose Request for Service from the drop-down list
• From the drop-down list of Select Request choose Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker
• Provide the remaining required information and click Proceed to Online Payment to complete the payment of 3654.82 Naira and your e-pin and serial number will be mailed to the email address you have provided.

Check your results: once you've gotten all that is required of you to check your result, the next and final step is to check the results. 

Start here on the WAEC direct result checker website 

On the page, input your examination number

Then select your examination year, e.g., 2022.

Choose your examination type from the drop-down menu, either as a Private Candidate or a School Candidate.

After that input your e-pin from your smart result checker or Direct result checker scratch cards

Next is to input the serial number from the pin above 

Finally, click on "submit" and wait for your results to display.

Due to traffic or network reception issues, it may take a little while for the result to display, and after it has been displayed, you can simply print it out.

To Check your WAEC result via SMS (text messages):

Open your text message sender, type WAEC*examinationnumber*PIN*EXAMYEAR, and send it to 32327 on any network in West Africa.

FOR EXAMPLE WAEC*1445443001*123456789000*2022  to 32327

It should be noted that in Nigeria, this service costs 30 Naira.
