Most of Meyers' income is gotten from her ownership of L'Oreal, the world's largest cosmetics firm.


On September 21, 2017, a corporate announcement said that she acquired this share after her mother, Liliane, died at the age of 94. According to the company's 2021 annual financial report, Meyers and her family presently possess 33.3% of L'Oreal's share capital.


It's also known that Meyers acquired a large amount of her money from her family. According to Bloomberg, she is one of a group of French luxury titans whose businesses have grown thanks to increasing demand for high-end beauty, apparel, and jewelry.


Francoise Bettencourt Meyers is now the world's 11th wealthiest individual, up from 14th last year.


Meyer is the world's richest woman, holding the number one rank. Since taking her mother's place on the list - the family fortune has flourished under her control.
