Cement increases dividend payout by 25% to N20 per share
Dangote Cement Plc has issued its financial results
for the fiscal year that concluded on December 31, 2021.
At the present time, its revenue increased by 33.79
percent, from N1.03 trillion to N1.38 trillion.
Similarly, earnings after tax increased by 32.01
percent to N364.4 billion in the same period of 2020, up from N276.1 billion.
Its earnings per share (EPS) increased by 31.6 percent from 16.14 to 21.24.
The company's shares have risen 6.42 percent year to
date, from N257 at the start of the year to N273.50 at the time of writing this
report. In January 2022, the stock reached a 52-week high of N284.90.
For the fiscal year ending December 2021, Dangote
Cement Plc declared a final dividend of N20 per share.
This is a 25% increase above the N16 budgeted for the 2020 fiscal year. During
the year, the company did not pay any interim dividends.
The dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names
appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on May 30, 2022,
subject to the necessary withholding tax.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, the dividend will be
paid. Ordinary shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as of the close of business on Monday, May 30, 2022, and who have completed the
e-dividend registration and ordered their Registrar to pay their dividends
directly into their bank accounts would receive a total payout of N340.8
billion.

registrar, and the e-dividend mandate form can be downloaded or filled out
online at the registrar's website.
As of this writing, Dangote Cement Plc has
17,040,507,405 outstanding shares and a market capitalization of N4.66
trillion. The cement giant's stock closed at N273.50 per share in yesterday's
market session, February 28th, 2022.
Shareholders having unclaimed dividend warrants and
share certificates who have not yet presented them for payment or returned them
for validation should complete the e-dividend registration form or contact the
Registrar.
