Countries Opened For Summer Traveling

Owing to the breakout of the coronavirus pandemic and traveling as one of the ways the virus spread fast, many countries around the world shut down the opportunity to travel in and out of the countries. However, with the current dwindling in the economy of most countries, countries are beginning to grant opportunities to travelers. Here is a list of countries that are allowing travelers in and out of the country. However, it is important to note that these countries still practice the 14 days self-isolation and social distancing.

The Caribbean

The Caribbean has opened some of its islands. These places include Puerto Rico, Antigua, the U.S. Virgin Islands including the St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John and St. Lucia. However, travelers are expected to show a negative test result of COVID-19 within 48 hours of arrival.

Jamaica

Jamaica plans to open all international travelers on June 15. Starting from July 1st, the Bahama would also be welcoming flights and yacht. Aruba would also be opening its border to Europe Canada and Caribbean islands with the exception of the Dominican Republic and Haiti on that same day. While Americans are excluded from the list, they would be joining by July, 10. Travelers going to places like Turks and Caicos will be permitted by July 22.

On Wednesday, the EU announced that it will be opening its border to allow non-Europeans to enter from July 1st. The European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell said the travel ban will be lifted “gradually and partially.”

By June 30, German will be lifting its ban to 31 European countries, Greece to 29 countries (including Australia) and the Netherlands to 12 EU countries.
