Chinese Real Estate Billionaire, Hui Kan Yan Tops Forbes China Philanthropy List
Hui Kan Yan is a Chinese businessman
and the chairman of Evergrande Group which is one of China’s biggest real estate
developers. The Evergrande Group has over 800 projects in more than 280 cities
which include Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and more.
As of July 2020, Hui Kan Yan was reported to have a net worth of $34 billion, which makes him the third richest
person in China and the thirty-first wealthiest in the world.
Hui Kan Yan tops the 2020
Forbes China Philanthropy List, with his cash giving at about $430 million.
Cash giving for 2019 was
used as a measure for the ranking, it also includes donations made by
individuals as well as their major business. Funds were donated for poverty
relief by Hui Kan Yan.
The Forbes China Philanthropy
list for 2019 was led Hui, with other billionaires like Jack Ma, founder of
Alibaba Group and Tencent CEO, Pony Ma.
