Airtel, Konga team up on a partnership to increase e-commerce activities across the nation

Airtel, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Nigeria, has announced a strategic alliance with Konga, a retail chain, to boost the country's digital/online retail scene.

According to the company, the deal also aims to link more Nigerians to a lot of opportunities which would increase the standard of living.

 

Godfrey Efeurhobo, Airtel Nigeria's Chief Commercial Officer, announced to the public on Thursday during the formal MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing ceremony at the Airtel Headquarters in Banana Island that the partnership with Konga will revolutionize the Nigerian digital retail landscape.

According to the company's press release, the partnership will allow Airtel customers to get the best deals at their convenience & deliver them to their doorstep irrespective of their location with the help of Konga.

However, The MD/CEO of Airtel Nigeria, Surendran Chemmenkotil, announced that this is the first partnership deal he is endorsing in his office. Recall that Surendran was proclaimed as the MD of Airtel Nigeria in 2021, after the promotion of Olusegun Ogunsanya.
